ACTIVITY
Hanareyama trekking and Kumobaike pond
Hanareyama, also called "Table Mountain" because of its gentle mountain shape like a table. The altitude is 1256m, and the roads are well-maintained and it is easy to walk, so it is a popular mountain destination for Karuizawa residents.
We will aim at the summit while observing the vegetation of the mountain with a dedicated guide.
If you are lucky, you might meet antelope on the way. From the top, you can see Mt. Asama close up and Mt. Fuji far away if it is sunny. On the way to the hanareyama, you may also visit one of Karuizawa’s best scenic spot, Kumobaike pond.

Usui trekking
A trekking tour that starts from the Old Karuizawa Ginza street and heads for Usui Pass observatory. From the observatory, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Mount Asama and Mt. Myogi. You can walk on the well-maintained promenade through the trip, and will dismiss on the observatory. It is recommended that you stop at the Kumano Emperor Shrine and the Toyama Teahouse for a break.

Snowshoe tour
By wearing snowshoes, which are also called "Western snowshoe," you can walk on the fluffy snow without getting your feet caught in the snow. Curling
The Karuizawa Ice Park, which is also the home rink of Japan's national team SC Karuizawa Club, that also held international tournament in the past. Skating
You can enjoy skating throughout the year at the internationally recognized ice rink, Karuizawa Kazakoshi Ice Arena. Skiing
Karuizawa Prince Hotel ski resort, where you can enjoy skiing for a long time from winter to early spring. From open main slopes, beginner courses for families to advanced courses with steep slopes. CULTURE
Winery Tour
Tomi City was certified as a special wine zone in 2008, and is growing into one of the leading wine areas in Japan. Embark on a trip to discover the wines of Shinshu by visiting the winery Alcanvigne, where wine lovers and creators gather. Karuizawa Cycling tour
From the famous tourist spot Kumobake which located in front of the Karuizawa station to the forest villa area of Old Karuizawa.This tour will be introducing St. Paul Catholic Church,Karuizawa Shaw Memorial Church to the Karuizawa Association Tennis Court which are the go to spot for tourist.Gourmet spots beloved by the local villa owners and famous local shops will also be introduced along the way.The route was flat and easy to ride for everyone from children to elderly.Tandem bicycle was also available and recommended for couples and families.

Sake Tour
Sake brewery tour of the long-established "Chikuma Nishiki Brewery", that is founded in 1681, and has been in business since the Edo period. You can try self-mill rice from Miyama Nishiki in Shinshu, which is a rice suitable for sake brewing, and tour the brewery's rice mill and aged oak barrel storage, which use the water from the four wells in the warehouse, in about 20 minutes. There is also a tasting corner for you to enjoy.

Sake taxi from karuizawa

Strawberry Picking
Strawberries that have grown up to bear the clear air and water of Karuizawa and the temperature difference between day and night, are ripe to dark red, producing a thick sweetness and beautiful acidity. Rare summer and autumn strawberries from July to November, and premium winter strawberries from December to June. Because it is an all-weather facility, you can enjoy strawberry picking all year round even on rainy or snowy days.

ABOUT RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION
Reservation
Reservation is available from 3 months in advance, and 6 days before the program. Please proceed to “Twin-Line Karuizawa” for reservation.
Please be noted that according to the climates, there will be rescheduling of programs. The cancellation for the programs according to weather, will be confirmed at 12p.m. the day before, cancellation fees will not be applied.
Cancellation fee is applied for cancellation from 5 days before arrival. Details of cancellation fee are written as below.
From 5 days to 2 days before arrival, 30% of total fee will be charged.
The day before arrival, 50% of total fee will be charged.
Cancellation on the day, 100% of total fee will be charged.
